The ADEFFI Spring Forum provides an opportunity for academics working in French studies to meet in an informal setting to exchange ideas regarding both our research and our teaching. The day is divided between short 10-12 minute presentations of current research projects, and round-table sessions sharing practical and pedagogical ideas and information.

We will hold our annual Spring Forum at the National University of Ireland, Merrion Square, on 10 April 2026.
We invite colleagues to share work in progress, pedagogies and tips in an informal atmosphere. If you have something interesting to say on any of the following, let us know at info@adeffi.ie

Research: ideas you’re playing with; new methodologies you’re using; resources, archives, tools that help research.
Teaching: what works in the classroom (topics, techniques), what challenges are you encountering (practical, physical, technological, changes in student population), what are you doing to combat them?
Funding: do you have any tips for where to find money to support our work?

There will also be an opportunity to discuss what ADEFFI can do in future – at this forum or in other ways – to strengthen the French Studies community in Ireland. If you have an idea for a project, bring it along.
